Today is the 20th anniversary of the death of Maria Elena Moyano, a peruvian feminist activist who fought against terrorism in the 80’s. She was murdered by a terrorist group called Shining Path because she was a brave leader who wasn’t afraid of speak her mind about the corruption of that era and the democracy that all peruvians should have. A true heroine.
